Father Files for Divorce After Wife Murders Children

A father, who was placed in a terrible position when his wife was accused of shooting their children, is now trying to move ahead with his life. Parker Schenecker now wants to celebrate the life of his teenage children, Beau and Calyx, while confronting his wife Julie. 

She has been accused of shooting their two children in their Florida home. Since Parker had been on a tour of duty overseas at the time of the shooting, this is the first time that he has spoken with her since his return. He told reporters that the "meeting was both emotional and productive. We discussed numerous topics but focused mostly on how so many people continue to honor and remember the lives of Calyx and Beau."

Schenecker also told his wife about his intentions to file for a divorce from her, but there are no reports as to how she received this news. Julie has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shootings of Calyx, 16, and Beau, 13. In her confession to the authorities Julie said that she shot her children for being "mouthy."
